Political Science lost a leading light in July 2019. Robert Elgie was a major force in political science in Europe and the USA. His pathbreaking research in presidential studies and his work on French Politics as a scholar and as co founding editor of the journal French Politics (2003) and lead editor of the Oxford University Press Handbook of French Politics (2016) have made immeasurable contributions to the discipline. This roundtable aims to take stock in his life work in political science and in doing so to honor is legacy.
