Session Description

The roundtable will be a lightly moderated discussion in which graduate students and faculty share insights from their experiences as first-generation scholars. Topics to be addressed include how being first-generation interacts with other social identities to shape academic experiences, community building among first-generation scholars in the discipline, and helpful resources for navigating academia while first-generation. The discussion includes Q&A and audience participation is encouraged.
