The proposed panel discuss the key issues in the field of institutional design and public opinion in China. For example, how Hukou system and energy policy developed in China? How public agencies respond to freedom of information requests? What kind of Chinese Citizen in demystifying the configuration and dynamics of mass political orientations in China? The authors are mostly junior scholars from US and China. The four papers are used quantitative analysis and survey experiment methods. Exploring different aspect of institutional design and public opinion in China, the topics are of great significance in public policy and social-state relations in the context of contemporary China.
