About Annual Meeting
Most research on consumption looks at patterns of consumption in marketplaces that are stable or long-term. The current paper attempts to full a gap in this literature by investigating consumption in novel marketplaces, those places of consumption that are short-term and new and which consumers have never encountered before. I argue that these novel marketplaces offer important insights into the information seeking behavior of consumers. Alongside this I consider the decoupling of clientship from specific marketplaces.
