Abstract

This workshop will go beyond "Trans 101" to discuss teaching trans* and genderqueer issues. Among the topics to be covered are: managing one's personal gender identity in a class involving trans* topics, managing students and space when discussing trans* issues, and the variety of topics that might be covered when teaching about trans*/genderqueer topics in a variety of courses. The presenters welcome questions, ideas and other input from workshop participants.
