Abstract

This workshop discusses how to organize, implement, and evaluate a sociology internship program that offers a successful professional learning experience for undergraduate students while providing a valuable service to the community. The emphasis is on structured internship programs permanently incorporated into sociology undergraduate curriculums. The panel will address internships from two perspectives: internships as part of an applied sociology curriculum and internships in sociology curriculums that emphasize undergraduate research.
