Legal status has taken center stage in the life chances of Latino/as in the United States. No where is this more apparent than among family members in transnational and mixed legal status households. This panel will focus on the effects of legal status among family members and within and across households. Topics of interest may include the educational and occupational outcomes for DACA recipients and DREAMERs, the implications for immigration or health care policy reforms, investigations of legal status on the life chances or incorporation patterns of family members and households across legal status or borders, and prospects for intergenerational mobility or parity.
