Sun, August 17, 12:30 to 2:10pm, TBA

Session Submission Type: Paper Session

Abstract

This session explores how researchers should operationalize and analyze data on race, ethnicity, gender, generational status, and class. Papers include both quantitative and qualitative approaches to measures that employ multidimensional and/or multilevel measures to examine social inequalities across a variety of social outcomes, including education and health. A key goal of this session is to identify promising practices for data collection for the U.S. 2020 Census as well as for federal, state, local and nonprofit Civil Rights monitoring agencies and organizations.
