Resource Mobilization and Integration: Non-profit Organization Development in China

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to explore how a leading non-profit organization of community service in Wuhan, China made significant progress for establishing thirty five service stations and designed/implemented fifty six projects within three years. Based on documentary analysis, summative evaluation and interviews, this case study explore its history, organizational structure, characteristics and major achievements. We concluded that resource mobilization and integration is the key for fast development of non-profit organizations in China. However, quality control and sustainability are two major potential problems.
