Reading Weber through the Eyes of Bourdieu

Abstract

Although Pierre Bourdieu was always reluctant to make "the retrospective analysis of the genesis" of his concepts, in the following paper we will draw upon several sources –including Bourdieu´s own analysis of Weber’s influence on his work– to show where he went with Weber and where he went beyond Weber in the construction of his own theory of practice.
