Reproductive Rights, Contraception, & Sexuality: An Assessment of Knowledge

Sun, August 23, 2:30 to 3:30pm, TBA

Abstract

Reproductive Rights, also referred to as reproductive justice, covers a broad spectrum of issues pertaining to women’s bodies, sexuality, and fertility. Little attention has been given strictly to the knowledge that people have of these issues. This study seeks to explore what knowledge men and women of reproductive age have of reproductive processes, contraception, sexuality education, sexuality & relationships, sexual orientation, and reproductive rights. Through the administering of an online survey to students at two four-year universities in the United States, a foundational study will be conducted to assess what knowledge these individuals have, where they have acquired it, and the impacts that it may have had on their personal decision-making processes.
