Abstract
Financialization as well as globalization are two topics that are central to the modern world; they also constitute two important areas of study for economic sociologists since several years back. The papers in this session all have an international dimension and several contribute to the topic of how financialization has helped globalization take place and spread. Some also address a more recent topic in economic sociology, namely the role of central banks in financialization and globalization processes.
