Abstract
In this session, leading scholars in the history of sociology reconsider the legacies and epistemologies of four foundational sociologists--W.E.B. Du Bois, Howard Odum, Talcott Parsons and Robert Merton. Each offers an important and innovative corrective about the contributions and roles of these thinkers in the formation of key sociological ideas and processes.
