Abstract
The papers in this session address new questions about changes in farming and the food system. These changes span the macro-political economy to local food systems. The papers: provide theoretically-driven analyses of recent shifts; challenge and update political economic and other perspectives; and offer empirical examples from different commodity systems and geographic contexts.
