060 - Regular Session. School Choice and Educational Inequality

Sat, August 22, 10:30am to 12:10pm, TBA

Session Submission Type: Paper Session

Abstract

A wide range of educational reform policies –including school vouchers, charters schools, and magnet schools– attempt to improve school quality by creating markets in which parents choose schools. Each of the papers in this panel explores the mechanisms of these school choice policies; investigating the factors that influence school choice decisions and the processes of managing and regulating schools of choice.
