Abstract
This thought-provoking panel brings together innovative scholarship from disability and from aging and life course scholars. Presenters will explore intergenerational interactions that shape the life experiences of persons with disabilities throughout the life course. Contributions of quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods studies will be discussed, elucidating social processes that impact disability in the family and the macro, societal context. Presenters will address the benefits of perspective taking using the lens of disability studies and that of aging and life course. Policy implications will be noted.
