Project Labor Agreements and Tripartite Model for Construction Project Management Success

Abstract

This research was undertaken to deepen our understanding of labor management cooperation in and to provide a detailed account of cooperative efforts and the extent of their effectiveness. The purpose of the this study is twofold: 1) to provide a framework for understanding the historical context of labor management cooperation in southwestern Illinois and 2) to empirically document six cases in the construction industry over the past decade which focus on PLAs and the Tripartite Model.
