How do religious practices change when people move? What happens to specific religious ideas and behaviors when a religious groups move from one country to another? In this paper I explore the case of Colombian evangelicals living in Miami and Madrid to explore the extent to which their evangelism strategies differ. I argue that, compared to the way evangelism was practiced in their Colombian church, these evangelicals have formed new forms of evangelism as a response to contextual factors. Specifically, I argue that the histories of religious disestablishment, discourses about religious pluralism, and the social position of immigrants in each of these cities plays a role in determining the ways in which these churches organize their recruitment strategies
