About Annual Meeting
How does the characteristic of rural or urban of Mexico-U.S. migrants’ origin affect the degrees in which migrants engage themselves in transnational practices? Transnational practices are activities in which migrants participate in order to sustain linkages with their place of origin. The principal aim of my research is to empirically prove that education levels and whether the migrant comes from an urban or rural background have significant effects on the degrees in which migrants participate in economic transnational practices and socio-cultural transnational practices.
