Abstract

What is the role of former felons in the process of enriching environmental equity? This paper explores how Reconstruction, Inc., a grassroots organization in Philadelphia, PA has been answering this question during the current era of mass incarceration. Through its capacity building curriculum and three programs addressing, former felons, lifers, and children and families, they enrich the "glocal" dynamics of space and place.
