This panel brings together a dynamic set of papers looking at how identities are deployed in different institutional contexts. The topics include: how jokes within a multicultural workplace can help (or hinder) the integration of different ethnic groups; how and why parents make the choice of whether or not to send their children to explicitly Catholic schools; If participating in a cooperative workplace (instead of one based on profit) makes you a more cooperative person; and how engagement in book clubs across contexts shapes the identities of women.
