About Annual Meeting
Session Submission Type: Paper Session 100min
This session offers five studies of organizational malfeasance, corporate and anti-corporate activism, and managerial efforts to resist external control. The topics include not only outright corporate criminality, but also more ambiguous forms of contestation between managers and various internal and external stakeholder groups. Together, the papers paint a picture of corporate governance as a complex relational field, where struggles play out simultaneously through law, through formal organizational policies and structures, and through informal social networks and macro-political mobilization.
