Sat, August 12, 8:30 to 10:10am, Palais des congrès de Montréal, Floor: Level 5, 511A

Session Submission Type: Paper Session 100min

Description

Popular Culture is lived in and through everyday life. It manifests not only in the production/consumption of cultural artifacts and texts, but also in the organization and arrangement of space and place in ways that enable both new communities of engagement and new repertoires of meaning. This session highlights research that positions popular culture as a "traveling object" traversing a range of terrains, from super highways to local neighborhoods to live concert venues.
