Abstract

My dissertation examines how interactions online and off between LGBTQ migrants and LGBTQ South Koreans affect self-understandings of racial, gender and sexual identity, community belonging, and rights claims. This paper combines data gathered through interviews, participant observation, digital ethnography, and archival research in Korean and English.
