About Annual Meeting
Drawing on 30 in-depth interviews with Latino undocumented day labors 8 years after Hurricane Katrina, this research examines the mental well-being and stress of reconstruction workers in New Orleans. This project contributes to the health disparities literature by arguing that researchers should address the multiple consequences of precarious working conditions experienced by day laborers, this including the mental health and well-being of workers.
