This panel brings together a diverse group of sociologists to discuss two critical questions: 1) How is sociology elitist?; and 2) What can we do to fight elitism in sociology? As is fitting for a panel on elitism, we will not presume that the panelists are the only purveyors of knowledge. Thus, the presenters will speak briefly and then we hope to have an engaging discussion with the audience about how to overcome elitism in sociology.
