About Annual Meeting
Session Submission Type: Invited Session
This session focuses on how the election of Barack Obama as President of the United States offered a promise of social and political change within the country. However, this positively held belief by many Americans did not usher us into what some believed might be a post racial/political society. Thus, we are left with questions of race and change in the 21st century, like the issues we faced during the 20th century and the new doubling down of once hidden know seen issues associated with race and ethnicity.
