This paper introduces an original developing method of virtual narrative ethnography that combines elements of virtual ethnography, narrative ethnography, and narrative analysis. Virtual narrative ethnography provides an approach to examining the content, context, and consequences of narratives in virtual worlds. The primary goal of this method is to embrace the unbound, fluid, multi-directional nature of narrative in virtual spaces. In addition to providing a general overview of this method and a general “how to,” I demonstrate the use value of this method to disability scholarship through an example of an examination of organizational narratives of legal sex work for disabled clients.
