This paper examines the relationship between minority suburbanization, or the rising rates of suburban residence among minority racial and ethnic groups. and suburban income segregation. Using the 1990 and 2000 decennial Census and pooled 2008-2012 ACS data, I show that neighborhoods in suburban regions of the United States have become more dissimilar with respect to residents' incomes, and that inequality between suburban neighborhoods has risen particularly sharply in the suburban regions to which minority groups have migrated.
