How Social Roles Matter for Asian-Americans: Exploring Health Differences across Ethnic Sub-groups

Abstract

This study investigates how role occupancy, accumulation, and combination affects Asian Americans’ physical health. Using data from the 2002-2003 National Latino and Asian American Study, I will explore these health relationships for Asian Americans as a whole as well as smaller ethnic subgroups to highlight their variation in experiences with different social roles.
