Description

This session will present some of the discussions and debates on contemporary violence. The topics include what counts as violence, how is “civilized violence” taught systematically, and how is torture, assault, and everyday violence experienced. The panelists consider violence at many contexts and scales, from the violence experienced everyday to the normalization of state sponsored violence.
