Session Submission Type: Paper Session 100min
We invite submissions that address body politics and social justice. Broadly defined, we are interested in papers that examine embodied resistance, activism, and protest connected to marginalized sex and sexualities. Ideal papers for this panel will employ an intersectional lens. We encourage submissions that document how people use their bodies to resist or disrupt oppressive forces embedded in toxicities of racism, cissexism, xenophobia, heterosexism, mononormativism, nativism, sexism, ableism, classism, and/or nationalism. (Cosponsored with Sexualities Section.)
