Description

This session will focus on a series of topic areas, at which sociologists with extensive experience in an identified area can meet with newer sociologists to discuss their area of interest. We envision the session including am opportunity for the more senior person to share something about her/his work in the area, but for the networking meeting to focus on the interest area of the other participants attending the session. The “meetings” can take the form of group discussion, as in roundtables, or lightning round (5 minutes each) one-on-one time between the senior and newer sociologists. Topical areas which will be offered are listed below. Those submitting to this session can propose additional areas, either as the “teacher” or the “learner” in the area.
