Description
Access to institutions of higher education are shaped by structural factors, such as economic and racial advantage. Yet, the rhetoric in popular discourse about affirmative action is that it affords an unfair advantage to people in racialized groups.
Papers in this session will consider the race, higher education and debates about affirmative action. These may be theoretical in focus or present empirical data, either quantitative or qualitative.
