Description
Fertility behaviors have changed markedly over the past few decades. Understanding the factors that have contributed to shifts in fertility (such as delayed fertility, increasing female education and labor force participation, and changes in religiosity) and how these factors may contribute to geographic variation is important for predicting future fertility trends.
