The Regular Session on Rural Sociology will address economic, political, cultural, and social issues affecting rural spaces, places, and peoples. The papers will discuss the relationship between microfinance and land dispossession in Cambodia, the politics of ‘pre-drilling’ in shale gas territory, the civic engagement of farmers who participate in local food systems, and anti-government political views in rural America.
