Description
We will begin with an update on the question of the stalled gender revolution and continue with 3 papers looking at the cultural and structural determinants of gendered sorting into jobs in care work, engineering and female-dominated occupations. The session will close with a new reading of Lucy Maynard Salmon's work on Domestic Service and its structural and cultural construction as a job for minority women.
