The recent success of the Christian Nationalist’s political agenda has continued to call into question the use of immigration policy as political leverage. This continued emphasis on the in-group and out-group as well as cultural purity rhetoric has provided a basis for the political success and popularity of Christian Nationalism today. However, the question becomes whether this emphasis on immigration policy is used to satisfy ideological values, or whether there is evidence of additional support for the tangible policies towards immigration that Christian Nationalism has been intent on advocating for. This study addresses through two measures of Christian Nationalism, and two measures of prejudice towards immigrants, whether there is merit in the Christian Nationalist support of protectionist government policies on immigration as opposed to just supporting the ideological prejudice towards immigrants.
