Abstract

This analysis examines NHANES data over three decades to discern long term changes to race differentials in diabetes rates. The analysis finds that, despite efforts to close racial gaps, no progress has been made in closing the gap between Black and White America. Education is found to be a powerful predictor of diabetes diagnoses.
