This paper explores the presence of Christian nationalism in popular country music from 2014 to 2024. Using a Large Language Model (LLM) to analyze song lyrics from the Billboard Hot 100, we identify trends in how Christian nationalist sentiments are reflected in country music. Preliminary findings reveal a statistically significant increase in Christian nationalist themes over time, potentially in response to period events. By comparing country music to other genres, we are able to better understand how culture reflects public sentiments and beliefs, as well as how popular media can create and promote a unique identity.
