Global and local inequalities are persistent and pressing issues in today's world. Numerous studies have explored within-country and between-country inequality using various measures and analytical approaches, revealing a rise in within-country inequality compared to between-country inequality in recent decades. This study updates the analysis by incorporating recent data to examine the relationship between both types of inequalities from 1970 to the present. By comprehensively examining the analytical methods of existing research, the study critically analyzes the application of inequality measures in understanding these two forms of inequality.
