International scholars teach and learn in classrooms filled with domestic or a mix of international and domestic students while teaching and learning largely about American society, a society to which we may not fully belong. This creates a unique position and pedagogically significant place for us in the class. Join us for this session to explore topics such as navigating United States’ exceptionalism and imperialism both in the classroom and within sociology.
