In recent years, the number of cost-burdened renter households has reached a new record high, with approximately half of all renters spending more than 30 percent of their incomes on rent and utilities. This session looks at the consequences of housing precarity for households, and the tradeoffs they make in terms of mobility, schools, and parenting when faced with affordability challenges.
