In this panel, scholars explore multi-faceted expressions and experiences of disability identity, ranging from micro constructions of embodied sensation to the macro branding of autism by corporations. The negotiation of disability identity in interaction is further explored through analyses of gifting-giftee relationships, decisions regarding the disclosure of disability, and interactional strategies to foster the enactment of respect for disabled people.
