This panel explores the political, social, and epistemic effects of racial capitalism through a variety of critical theoretical perspectives. Among the things covered in this wide-ranging panel are a critical appreciation of the politics of Du Boisian sociology, an examination of underappreciated pioneers in decolonial methods, epistemological reflections on "disposability regimes" in academic knowledge production, and the racialized inequalities produced by the commodification of housing.
