This paper will explore the diverging views on the lumpenproletariat by Karl Marx, recognized Activist Anti-Colonial Marxists such as Amilcar Cabral, Frantz Fanon, and Mao Zedong [Mao Tse Tung], and concludes with the views of the lumpenproletariat-centered Black Panther Party. The changes in approach to organizing the lumpenproletariat as a class that are needed to adapt Marxism to colonial independence struggles with primarily peasant populations are explored briefly, concluding with a proposal for Anti-Colonial organizing of the lumpenproletariat even in the USA.
