Session Submission Type: Paper Session (90 minute)
This session focuses on new directions in conceptual and methodological work on consumption. We invite papers that advance sociological understandings of consumers and consumption by rethinking foundational concepts, engaging with interdisciplinary approaches, or proposing innovative methodological and analytical frameworks. Topics may include theories of value, meaning, and identity; the cultural and material dimensions of consumption; the relationship between consumer practices and institutions; etc.
