Session Submission Type: Paper Session (90 minute)
This session invites papers that explore the relationship between health and policy, broadly defined. We welcome submissions that investigate how health policies shape social life, how social and economic policies shape health outcomes and inequities, and how political, institutional, and professional actors engage in the making and implementation of health policies. Papers might also examine the role of clinicians, policymakers, advocacy groups, or social movements in responding to, contesting, or transforming health-related policies. We encourage research that takes global, transnational, or comparative perspectives, as well as studies that employ a range of theoretical and methodological approaches.
