Session Submission Type: Paper Session (90 minute)
We invite papers that advances methodological innovation in studying the social dimensions of substance use, misuse, and addiction and the health systems that address addiction. We welcome papers employing emerging approaches such as participatory action research with marginalized communities, biosocial methods integrating physiological and social data, studies that challenge traditional boundaries between quantitative and qualitative approaches, utilize novel data sources (social media, administrative records, wearable technologies), or develop creative strategies for researching hard-to-reach populations and stigmatized behaviors.
