Interfaith Dialogue in Times of Conflict (Co-sponsored by Sociology of Religion Section)

Sun, August 9, 10:00 to 11:30am, TBA

Session Submission Type: Paper Session (90 minute)

Description

Heightened polarization and conflict have frequently sidelined those actors committed to sustaining interfaith dialogue and cooperation. Yet, across diverse contexts, individuals and organizations continue to generate, manage, and persevere with interfaith initiatives—even in the face of mounting challenges and uncertainty. This session brings together papers that explore the practices, meanings, and organizational work underpinning interfaith dialogue amid social and political divisions.
